Telephone/Telematics Control Module






Telephone/Telematics Control Module

If Telephone/Telematics Control Module (J526) is faulty (part exchange), a new Emergency Battery (Telematics) (A16) must be installed with the new unit.

Emergency Battery (Telematics) (A16) must be specially ordered.

This is not necessary if only the Telematics SIM card is replaced.

- Turn off all electrical consumers.

- Remove ignition key.

Removing

- Activate the Telephone/Telematics Control Module (J526) service mode. Refer to => [ Telematics Service Mode, Activating/Deactivating ] Component Tests and General Diagnostics.

- Remove right front seat.

Seat belt on seat frame must not be loosened.

- Remove right A-pillar trim.

- Fold back the floor mat.

- Unlock the cover on the electronics box - arrows - and remove the cover.





- Disconnect connectors - 2 - on Telephone/Telematics Control Module (J526) - 1 -.





- Remove Telephone/Telematics Control Module (J526 ) - 1 - from electronics box.

- Remove Telematics SIM card. Refer to => [ Telematics SIM Card ] Telematics SIM Card.

Telematics SIM card located in Telephone/Telematics Control Module (J526) remains in vehicle.

Installing

- Install in reverse order.

- Install a new Emergency Battery (Telematics) ( A16) (only when replacing unit).

- Deactivate the Telephone/Telematics Control Module (J526) service mode. Refer to => [ Telematics Service Mode, Activating/Deactivating ] Component Tests and General Diagnostics.

- Perform initialization. Refer to => [ Telephone/Telematics Control Module, Initialization ] Component Tests and General Diagnostics.
