Telephone System

CAUTION!
Disconnect battery ground wire before working on electrical system.

On vehicles with Telematics, activate Telephone/Telematics Control Module (J526) service mode before disconnecting Battery (A). Refer to => [ Telematics Service Mode, Activating/Deactivating ] Component Tests and General Diagnostics.

If the battery is reconnected, follow the procedure for disconnecting and connecting the battery. Deactivate Telephone/Telematics Control Module ( J526) service mode. Refer to => [ Telematics Service Mode, Activating/Deactivating ] Component Tests and General Diagnostics.

Telephone Baseplate (R126) with Cellular Telephone (R54)

Telephone Microphone (R38)

The Telephone Transceiver (R36) is equipped with a Bluetooth(R) Antenna (R152). Using this, all Cellular Telephones (R54) approved by Audi can be operated with the Bluetooth(R) interface with the cell phone preparation installed in the vehicle.

It is not possible to connect other devices via Bluetooth, for example headset, laptop, PDA, or similar.

Fault finding is performed. Refer to guided fault finding Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051.

Repairs on antenna wires.

Repair to CAN bus lines.
