Manual Entry Assistance






Front Seats

From 06.2006, the usual wiring harness routing to connector station under front seat. Refer to => [ Connectors, Disconnecting ] Front Seats has been replaced with modular wiring routing => [ Modular Wiring Routing Assembly Overview, from June 2006 ] Front Seats.

The modular wiring routing has not been implemented for all countries.

Check version of front seat and of vehicle and perform repairs accordingly.

Note the two possible versions of the modular wiring routing, Modular Light or Modular. Refer to => [ Modular Wiring Routing Versions ] Front Seats.

Removing

- Move the front seat all the way forward.

- Remove seat.

- Remove the rivet - 4 - on the seat rail - 5 - and remove the metal bracket (Qty. 2) on the inner side of the seat rail - 5 -.

- Push the lever - 1 - until the pins - 2 - (Qty. 2) are inside the seat rail - 5 - and then pull the seat rail - 5 - in direction of arrow.

- Remove the manual entry assist- 3 -.

Installing

- Guide the manual entry assist into the guide rails. Refer to => [ Guiding the manual entry assist into the guide rail ].

- Install the manual entry assist - 3 - in the reverse order of removal.

- Press the lever - 1 - and push the manual entry assist - 2 - forward.
