Side Trim, Tunnel Side

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095)





• Fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136)





• Removing





- Remove seat. Refer to => [ Standard Front Seat ] Standard Front Seat.

- Mount the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136) on the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095).

- Attach the front seat to the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136).

- Loosen footwell cover retaining strip from side panel. Refer to => [ Footwell Cover Retaining Strip, Loosening ].

- Position a screwdriver to head of plastic rivet - 2 - (Qty. 2).

- Pry out plastic rivet - 2 - (Qty. 2) by turning the screwdriver.

- Disengage side panel - 1 - toward top.

• Installing

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order. When doing so, note the following:

- Slide footwell fastening strip into side trim bracket. Refer to => [ Footwell Cover Retaining Strip, Loosening ]

- Disengage retaining strip - 1 - on footwell cover - 2 - from brackets - 4 - (Qty. 2) on side panel - 3 -.
