Divided Backrest Cover and Cushion
1/3 Backrest Cover and Upholstery
• Removal:
- Remove backrest. Refer to => [ Left 1/3 Backrest ] Rear Seats
- Remove screws - 2 - on latch trim - 1 -.
- Press lock lever - 3 - in direction of arrow.
- Remove bolt - 4 - beneath lock lever - 3 -.
- Lift latch trim - 1 - off.
- Remove headrests - 5 -:
• Headrests with slide in locking mechanism, refer to => [ Headrests with Locking Mechanism ] Rear Seats
• Headrests without slide in locking mechanism, refer to => [ Headrests without Locking Mechanism ] Rear Seats
- Remove headrest guides - 6 -.
• Headrest guides with slide in locking mechanism, refer to => [ Headrest Guides with Locking Mechanism ] Headrest Guides With Locking Mechanism
• Outer headrest guides without slide in locking mechanism, refer to => [ Outer Headrest Guides without Locking Mechanism ] Headrest Guides
• Inner headrest guides without slide in locking mechanism, refer to => [ Inner Headrest Guides without Locking Mechanism ] Headrest Guides
- Pry out rear plastic strip all around - 7 - and plastic strip - 8 - using a screwdriver and remove cushion from backrest panel.
- Turn back cover - 1 -.
- Pry out grip channels - 10 - from plastic clips - 11 - using a screwdriver.

• Outer rear headrests not the same as front headrests.
• If you remove all headrests, mark them with adhesive tape.

• Without insertion lock: Removing and installing, refer to => [ Outer Headrest Guides without Locking Mechanism ] Headrest Guides

• Replace damaged plastic clips

• Removal:

- Remove bolt - 2 - (Qty. 2) of lock trim - 1 -.
- Press lock lever - 3 - in direction of arrow.
- Lift latch trim - 1 - off.
- Remove headrests - 4 -:
• Headrests with slide in locking mechanism, refer to => [ Headrests with Locking Mechanism ] Rear Seats
• Headrests without slide in locking mechanism, refer to => [ Headrests without Locking Mechanism ] Rear Seats
- Remove headrest guides - 5 -.
• Headrest guides with slide in locking mechanism, refer to => [ Headrest Guides with Locking Mechanism ] Headrest Guides With Locking Mechanism
• Outer headrest guides without slide in locking mechanism, refer to => [ Outer Headrest Guides without Locking Mechanism ] Headrest Guides
• Inner headrest guides without slide in locking mechanism, refer to => [ Inner Headrest Guides without Locking Mechanism ] Headrest Guides
- Remove center armrest - 11 -.
- Remove ski sack - 11 -, Refer to => [ Ski Bag ].
- Using a screwdriver, pry off cover for three-point seatbelt - 12 -.
- Pry off plastic strip - 6 - (Qty. 4) from brackets - 7 - (Qty. 4).
- Remove plastic strip - 8 - (Qty. 4) from bracket.
- Pry out rear plastic strip - 13 - all around using a screwdriver.
- Remove upholstery piece - 15 - from backrest panel - 9 -.
- Turn back cover - 14 -.
- Lever out grip channel - 16 - from plastic clip - 17 - using a screwdriver.
- Remove cover - 14 -.

• Install headrest guide with button at left.

• Replace damaged plastic clips
Backrest, Checking after Assembling
• Seat belt relay and belt webbing must not make contact with or rub against foam parts or seat cover fabric.
• Anti-twist stop must follow all movements of belt webbing.
• Belt webbing must move freely in all directions.
Lock Cylinder, Removing and Installing
• Removal:
- Remove bolts - 2 - (Qty. 2) of lock trim - 3 -.
- Detach lock lever from below from catches (Qty. 2).
- Pry off top of lock lever using screwdriver.
• Installing:
To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.

• When rear backrest is locked, pin - 1 - is 2 mm above lock trim.
• If rear backrest is not locked, pin lies approx. 20 mm above lock trim and a red mark is visible.
5 Lock Cylinder
• To remove and install the lock cylinder, ignition key must be inserted.
