• From August 2005, the conventional wiring harness routing to the connector station under the front seat. Refer to => [ Connectors, Disconnecting ] has been replaced with modular wiring routing. Refer to => [ Modular Wiring Routing, from August 2005, Assembly Overview ].
• The modular wiring routing has not been implemented for all countries.

Storage Compartment, Disassembling
- Remove storage compartment. Refer to => [ Storage Compartment ] Standard Front Seat, From November 2004.
Trim, Removing
- Using Trim Removal Wedge (3409), unclip trim - 1 - from retaining tabs - arrows - (Qty. 4) on inner part - 2 -.
Handle with Locking Mechanism, Removing
- Remove trim.
- Remove axle - 1 - from inner part - 3 -.
- Remove handle with locking mechanism - 4 -, torsion spring - 2 - and axle - 1 -.
Insert, Removing
• The insert is placed in the inner part and is not secured by any additional means.
• For overview purposed, the trim and handle with locking mechanism are not shown in the illustration.
- Open storage compartment.
- Remove insert - 1 - from inner part - 2 -.
Inner Part, Removing from Outer Part
- Open storage compartment.
- Press retainers - 2 - (Qty. 2) upward in - direction of arrow A -.
- Tip inner part - 1 - down in direction of - arrow B -.
- Remove outer part - 1 - from guide - arrow - on inner part - 2 -.
Storage Compartment, Assembling
Assembly is performed in the reverse order of removal. Observe the following when doing so:
- Engage torsion spring - 1 - so that shorter side - arrow A - is supported on inner part - 2 - and longer side - arrow B - is supported on handle - 3 -.
