Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1332)
• The RS sport seat has no side airbag. Therefore, the electrical connection for the side airbag must have a terminal resistance in the wiring harness.
• Depending on the version, this terminal resistance is securely connected to the wiring harness, or is designed as a separate connector housing with terminal resistance. Refer to => [ Connector Housing with Side Airbag Terminal Resistance ] Front RS Sport Seat.
1 Front Seat
Removing
- Push front seat - 1 - fully upward and to the rear.
- Remove front bolts - 3 - (Qty. 2).
- Move seat forward.
- Loosen seatbelt eyelet at outer anchoring point for seat and remove seatbelt from belt guide.
- Remove rear bolts - 4 - (Qty. 2).
- Tip front seat - 1 - back.
- Disconnect electrical harness connectors. Refer to => [ Connectors, Disconnecting ] Front RS Sport Seat.
Installing
To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.
2 Seat Rail Covers
• Right front and left rear are identical
• Left front and right rear are identical
• Removing and Installing, refer to => [ Seat Rail Covers ]
3 Front Bolts (Qty. 2)
• Tightening specification 50 Nm
4 Rear Bolts (Qty. 2)
• Tightening specification 50 Nm
