Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095)
• Fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136)
• If the motor is faulty, replace the upper seat pan frame.

2 Seat Height Adjustment Motor
• Removing
- Remove seat. Refer to => [ Power Front Memory Seat ] Power Front Memory Seat.
- Mount the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136) on the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095).
- Attach the front seat to the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136).
- Remove side trim on sill side. Refer to => [ Side Trim, Sill Side ] Side Trim, Sill Side.
- Remove side trim on tunnel side. Refer to => [ Side Trim, Tunnel Side ] Side Trim, Tunnel Side.
- Remove the backrest. Refer to => [ Front Backrest ] Front Backrest.
- Remove cover and padding from seat pan. Refer to => [ Seat Pan Cover and Cushion, Sport Seat ] Front Seat Covers and Cushion, Power Memory Seats.
- Remove control module. Refer to => [ Memory Seat Control Module ] Memory Seat Control Module.
- Remove belt buckle. Refer to => [ Seat Belt Anchor ] Service and Repair.
- Remove spring mat with wiring harness from seat pan. Refer to => [ Spring Mat with Seat Pan Wiring Harness ] Spring Mat With Seat Pan Wiring Harness.
- Separate upper seat pan frame from lower seat pan frame.
• Installing
To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.
