DTC Memory Checking

- Connect the vehicle diagnostic testing and information system (VAS 5051). Refer to => [ VAS 5051, Connecting and Selecting Functions ] VAS 5051, Connecting and Selecting Functions. In selection touch vehicle system "02 Transmission Electronics". Ignition must be switched on.

- In selection - 1 - touch diagnostic function " 02 Read DTC memory".

1. Contents of the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory:

<> 0 DTC detected

or

<> X DTCs detected

2 DTC

<> DTC

<> Location of DTC

<> Type of DTC

A - If DTCs were recognized

- Print out contents of screen or On Board Diagnostic (OBD) protocol.

- End function "02 Read DTC memory" by touching arrow button.

Display on vehicle diagnostic testing and information system (VAS 5051)





- Repair malfunction(s) using DTC chart.

- In selection touch diagnostic function "02 Read DTC memory " again and delete DTC memory. Refer to => [ DTC Memory, Erasing ] DTC Memory, Erasing.

- Touch "06 End output".

B - If no DTC was detected:

- Touch "06 End output".
