Affected Vehicles

91 CD player on Generation 2+ radio Chorus/Concert/Symphony fails





Condition

The CD drive on the generation 2+ Chorus/Concert/Symphony radio fails sporadically. The CD will not play and will not eject. The messages CD error and service appear (Figure 1).

Technical Background





CD drive mechanism inoperative. No DTCs are stored.

Production Solution

Improved CD drive mechanism.

Service

Replace the radio.
