Condition
When closing the front window, it reverses (opens) usually in the area of the mirror triangle.
Technical Background
Minor constriction in the area of the door carrier window guide and mirror base plate can cause activation of the window pinch protection and reverse the window's direction of travel while closing.
Production Solution
Production has ended.
Service
Update software in the front window regulator motors. The flash program is found on tester version 14.06 in Guided Fault Finding. Initiate the flash program that appears second in the list, as shown in Figure 1.
Tip: The transmitter head and the tester must be connected using the USB cable if a VAS 5052A or VAS 5051B tester is used in conjunction with the VAS 5054A (wireless) transmitter head.
