Interior Mirror, Removing And Installing

Observe general notes when removing and installing.

Removal and installation of an Automatic-dimming inside mirror Y7 are described. Removal and installation on versions are similar.







Removing
- Unclip cover - 8 - from cable guide piece - 6 -.
- Remove connector - 5 - from Rain/Light Recognition Sensor G397.
- Unclip wire from brackets - 3 - and - 4 -.

Vehicles with Automatic-dimming inside mirror
- Disconnect connector - 2 -.

1 - Rearview mirror
7 - Interior light (roof module)
9 - Compass display
10 - Automatic-dimming inside mirror light sensor
11 - Buttons with dual functions:
- Switching automatic dimming function on and off
- Digital compass, activating and calibrating







Procedure for all vehicles
- Remove cable guide piece - 1 - from retaining plate - 3 -.
- Rotate inside mirror - 2 - approx.20 degree counter-clockwise.
- Remove inside mirror - 2 - from retaining plate - 3 -.

NOTE: Do not separate inside mirror from mirror base under any circumstances.

Installing
- Installation is reverse of removal.
