Sill Side Trim

Sill Side Trim

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095)

• Fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136)

Removing

- Remove the seat. Refer to => [ Seat ] Seat.

- Mount the (VAS 6136) on the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095).

- Attach the front seat to the (VAS 6136).

- Remove the outer side trim. Refer to => [ Side Trim ] Side Trim.

- Remove the bolt - 2 -.





- Remove the seat height adjustment handle - 1 - in the - direction of the arrow -.

- Remove the backrest adjustment handwheel. Refer to => [ Backrest Adjustment Hand Wheel ] Backrest Adjustment Hand Wheel.

- Remove the left backrest cover. Refer to => [ Backrest Cover, Removing and Installing ] Backrest Cover.

- Remove the bolt - 1 -.





- Separate the cable ties.

- Press the retaining tab and pull the electrical connectors out of the brackets.

- Mark electrical connectors - 2 - and - 3 - and remove them.

- Press the locking pin inward and remove the expanding clip - 3 -.





- Release the retaining tab - 1 - - arrow A - and remove the sill side trim - 2 - upward and toward the front - B arrows -,

- Disconnect the lumbar support electrical connector.

Installation





Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Side Trim Assembly Overview ] Side Trim Assembly Overview, => [ Seat Height Adjustment Unit Assembly Overview ] Seat Height Adjustment Unit Assembly Overview.

- Make sure the side trim on the sill side - 1 - engages correctly in the seat pan and on the backrest - arrows -.
