Lumbar Support Adjustment Motors, Old Version






Standard Front Seats

From 07.2006, the usual wiring harness routing to connector station under front seat => [ Connectors, Disconnecting ] Standard Front Seats Overview has been replaced with modular wiring routing => [ Modular Wiring Routing, from 07.2006, Assembly Overview ] Standard Front Seats Overview.

The modular wiring routing has not been implemented for all countries.



Lumbar Support Adjustment Motors, Old Version

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095)

Fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136)

In driver's seat illustrated, the motor for lumbar support height adjustment is on the left side and motor for lumbar support adjustment is on the right side.

4 Four-way lumbar support

8 Rivets (Qty. 4)

9 Lumbar support adjustment motors (Qty. 2)

Removing

- Remove seat => [ Standard Front Seat ].

- Mount the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136) on the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095).

- Attach the front seat to the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136).

- Remove backrest cover panel => [ Backrest Cover ].

When removing lumbar support height adjustment motor:

- Remove side airbag => [ Front Airbag Igniters, Standard Power Seat ] .

- Disconnect connector - 10 -.

- Drill out rivets - 8 - (Qty. 2) on outer side.

- Disengage release - 3 - on hook - 6 - from retaining plate - 7 -.

- Guide release - 3 - out of bracket - 5 -.

When removing lumbar support adjustment motor:

- Disconnect connector - 10 -.

- Drill out rivets - 8 - (Qty. 2) on outer side.

- Disengage release - 11 - on hook - 2 - out of four-way lumbar support - 4 -.

- Disengage the release cable - 11 - from the bracket - 1 -.

Installing

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.
