Access/Start Authorization Switch






Access/Start Authorization Switch

Induction coil for immobilizer is secured to access/start authorization switch (E415) and cannot be replaced separately.

If induction coil is malfunctioning, access/start authorization switch must be replaced.

If access/start authorization switch is replaced, no adaptation of immobilizer is necessary.

Lock in access/start authorization switch is not coded mechanically.

Keys must therefore not be replaced when access/start authorization switch is replaced; present keys continue to match.

Removing

- Adjust steering wheel downward and to rear as far as possible, use entire adjustment range of steering column adjustment for this.

- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Remove the center vents in the instrument panel.

- Remove bolts - arrows -.





- Remove access/start authorization switch - 1 - from instrument panel.

- Disconnect electrical connectors - 1 to 3 -.





Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Install the center vents in the instrument panel.
