Work procedure
Setting of "North" is integrated in rearview mirror via a world-zone dependent magnetic field.

Compass directions N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, Wand NWare shown in digital compass display - 1 -.

Digital compass can be activated, adjusted and calibrated using - 2 - button.

NOTE:
- Do not bring any remote controls or other electrical devices near the inside mirror to avoid inaccurate directions from the digital compass.
- For this same reason, inside mirror should be kept free of objects with metal parts, such as sunglasses with metal frames or decorations or trinkets.

Switching digital compass off
- Press and hold button - 2 - at least 3 seconds until direction display in compass - 1 - disappears.







Switching digital compass on
- Press and hold button - 2 - at least 3 seconds until direction display in compass - 1 - appears.

Digital compass, calibrating
It is necessary to calibrate the compass if:
- Compass directions are not correct,
- A "C" appears in compass display instead of a direction or nothing appears at all.

The compass may also need to be calibrated in exception situations, such as if:

- The vehicle battery is reconnected after being disconnected for an extended period,
- a new audio system or audio system component was installed.
- Switch on ignition.







A "C" must appear in compass display - 1 -.

- If "C" does not appear, press and hold button - 2 - at least 9 seconds until a "C" appears in compass display - 1 -.
- Drive in a circle two to three times at about 5 m.p.h. (10 km/h) until a direction is shown in compass display - 1 -.
- Ensure inside mirror automatic dimming function is activated again after completing calibration.
- Switch off ignition.

Work procedure
- Switch on ignition.

A "C" must appear in compass display - 1 -.

- If "C" does not appear, press and hold button - 2 - at least 9 seconds until a "C" appears in compass display - 1 -.
- Drive in a circle two to three times at about 5 m.p.h. (10 km/h) until a direction is shown in compass display - 1 -.
- Leave ignition switched on.
- Press and hold button - 2 - at least 6 seconds until "Z" and a zone number appears.
- Press - 2 - button again until desired zone number appears.
- Find desired zone on world map:
- North America.

After a few seconds, compass display switches from zone number to direction.

- Ensure inside mirror automatic dimming function is activated again after completing calibration.
- Switch off ignition.

Zone, setting
On long drives, it may be necessary to set a different zone, that is, if you travel more than two zones away from the base zone.

- Switch on ignition.
- Press and hold button - 2 - at least 6 seconds until "Z" and a zone number appears. Press - 2 - button again until desired zone number appears.
- Find desired zone on world map:
- North America.

After a few seconds, compass display switches from zone number to direction.

- Ensure inside mirror automatic dimming function is activated again after completing calibration.
- Switch off ignition.
