Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels

Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels

Raising and Lowering

Raising with Air Suspension System not Open

- Before raising the vehicle using the hoist, activate "Lift" (highest level) and switch the "vehicle lift mode" on. Refer to => [ Vehicle Lift Mode ] Vehicle Lift Mode.

This ensures that the hoist arms can pivot under the vehicle and the air suspension system will not make any unintended adjustments.

- Position hoist lifting arms under intended lift points on longitudinal members and raise vehicle.

Lowering with Air Suspension System not Closed

- Lower hoist and place vehicle on wheels.

- Swing back hoist lifting arms.

- Switch off "vehicle lift mode" and set desired driving mode. Refer to => [ Vehicle Lift Mode ] Vehicle Lift Mode.

"Vehicle lift mode" is automatically deactivated when vehicle speed exceeds 10 km/h.

Lowering with Open Air Suspension System

Do not set the vehicles on its wheel before filling the air suspension system.

- Fill the system using the Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051 A). Refer to => [ System, Venting or Filling ] System, Venting or Filling.

- Lower hoist and place vehicle on wheels.

If vehicle is not high enough to swing hoist lifting arms back (insufficient pressure in pressure reservoir), allow engine to run at idle. This switches the air supply unit compressor on.

- Switch off "vehicle lift mode" and set desired driving mode. Refer to => [ Vehicle Lift Mode ] Vehicle Lift Mode.
