• Adjusting gauge (3371)
Panel gap dimensions
• Dimension - A - = 4.5 mm ± 0.5 mm
• Dimension - B - = 3.5 mm ± 0.5 mm
• Dimension - C - = 3.5 mm ± 0.5 mm
• Dimension - D - = 2 mm ± 0.5 mm
• Dimension - E - = 2 mm ± 0.5 mm
• Dimension - F - = 2.5 mm ± 0.5 mm
• Dimension - G - = 2 mm ± 0.5 mm.
• Make sure all gaps are parallel to body
Rear Lid Lock And Grip Piece Assembly Overview
1 - Rear lid lock
• To remove, disengage release.
• Remove the hex nuts - 2 - and remove rear lid lock.
2 - Nut
• 8 Nm
3 - Release
4 - Lock cylinder
• Removing
• Disconnect electrical connectors.
• Disengage release - 3 - from lock cylinder.
• Remove combination bolt - 5 -.
• Twist lock cylinder 90°.
• Remove lock cylinder from handle mechanism.
5 - Combination screw
• 8 Nm
6 - Handle
• Removal:
• Rear lid trim removed.
• Lock cylinder removed.
• Remove hex head collar nuts - 7 -.
• Press in catches - arrows -.
• Remove grip piece.
7 - Flanged hex nut
• 8 Nm
Buffer Stops, Adjusting
- Open the hood.
- Remove rubber cap.
- Screw in buffer stops until they reach stop.
- Remove the stop again in steps.
- Press rubber cap on.
- When adjusted correctly and with lid closed, buffer stops must make contact lightly on luggage compartment edge.
