Evaporative Emissions System






EVAP Canister and Leak Detection System Hose Diagram

The illustration shows the hose diagram for a 6-cylinder engine.





1 To Intake Air Switch-Over Valve (N335)

2 Vacuum Pump

For brake booster.

3 To Brake Booster

4 Throttle Valve Control Module (J338)

5 Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Regulator Valve 1 (N80)

Component location: Right front in engine compartment.

6 Vent Line

From EVAP canister to evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge regulator valve.

Component location: At right beneath vehicle floor.

Secured to fuel tank in fuel tank area.

7 Vent Line

To fuel tank filler tube.

8 EVAP Canister

Component location: Bottom of spare wheel well.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ EVAP Canister ] Service and Repair.

9 Connecting Hose

Pressure side.

10 EVAP Filter

11 Air Filter Housing

For Leak detection pump (LDP).

12 Leak Detection Pump (LDP) (V144)

Component location: In left rear wheel housing behind wheel housing liner.

Checking, refer to => [ Leak Detection Pump, FSI, Checking ] Leak Detection Pump, FSI, Checking.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Leak Detection Pump ] Service and Repair.

Engine/leak detection pump (LDP).

Installation position: - Arrow - points in direction of flow.

Separation Point Location





The separating point - arrow - is located at lower left of engine compartment.

To disconnect, press release button on connection piece.
