Tail Lamp: Service and Repair

Tail Lamp and Bulb Holder, Sedan, through 05.2008

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim Removal Wedge (3409)

Removing

- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Turn light switch into 0 position.

- Remove luggage compartment side trim cover.

- Remove nut - arrow -.





- Pry cover - 2 - off of tail lamp - 1 - using (3409).





- Pry tail lamp - 1 - out of clip nuts from outside using (3409).





- Remove tail lamp from body cut-out.

- Disconnect electrical harness connector at lamp carrier.

- Expand catch bracket - arrows - and remove lamp carrier - 1 - from tail lamp.





- Remove light bulbs from sockets.

Installing

• Tightening specification, refer to => [ Rear Lights Assembly Overview ] Rear Lights Assembly Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

• Replace adjusting nut with damaged seal.

- Attach tail lamp - 3 - at body cut-out and at cover - 2 -.





• Tail lamp must engage in cover guides.

- Press retaining bolts - 1 - into clip nuts at outside.

- Press cover onto tail lamp until it engages audibly.

- Tighten nut.
