Timing Components: Specifications
Chain tensioner for left camshaft timing chain
Tighten 5 Nm plus an additional 90° (1/4 turn)
Chain tensioner for right camshaft timing chain
Tighten 5 Nm plus an additional 90° (1/4 turn)
Vibration damper
Tighten bolts - arrow - in diagonal sequence in 3 stages as follows:
Tighten bolts 15 Nm
Tighten bolts 22 Nm
Tighten an additional 90° (1/4 turn)
Left timing chain cover
Tighten bolts - 1 to 8 - in sequence.
Tighten 9 Nm
Right timing chain cover
Tighten bolts - 1 to 8 - in sequence.
Tighten 9 Nm
Timing chain lower cover
Replace M6 bolts - 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13 - and - arrows -.
Tighten bolts in 6 stages as follows:
Insert bolts - arrows - with locking compound and pre-tighten 5 Nm
Tighten bolts - 1 to 13 - in diagonal sequence 8 Nm
Tighten bolts - arrows - 8 Nm
Tighten M8 bolts - 2, 4, 8, 9, 10 - in a diagonal sequence 22 Nm
Rotate M6 bolts - 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13 - an additional 90° (1/4 turn) in a diagonal sequence.
Tighten bolts - arrows - an additional 90° (1/4 turn)
