Auxiliary Parking Light Bulb, Replacing

NOTE: On vehicles with gas discharge headlamps with LED lights, LED module replaces high beam/daytime running lights and parking light bulbs. The LED module cannot be renewed; the headlight must be renewed as a complete part.

CAUTION: Always disconnect battery ground strap before working on gas-discharge headlight components marked with yellow high-voltage symbols.

Removing
- With ignition switched off, disconnect battery Ground (GND) cable.

Left headlight - Vehicles with 8-cyl. engine:
- Remove power steering fluid reservoir.

Left headlight - Vehicles with 12-cyl. engine:

- Remove air filter housing.

Right headlight - Vehicles with 8-cyl. engine:

- Remove upper section of air filter housing.

Right headlight - Vehicles with 12-cyl. engine:

- Remove air filter housing.







All:

- Disengage retaining tabs - arrows - and remove high beam housing cover from headlight housing.







- Remove parking light socket - arrow - from housing.
- Remove parking light bulb from socket.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:
- Insert new bulb into socket, do not touch glass cone with bare hands.
- Press socket into reflector until it is felt to engage.
- Close housing cover.
- Connect battery. Required actions.
