HID Headlamps

Observe notes on contact corrosion. Refer to => [ Contact Corrosion ] Service Precautions.

• Adjust the headlamps after performing any work that could have affected their adjustment.

Parking Lamp Bulb

• On vehicles with gas discharge headlamps with LED lamps, LED module replaces high beam/daytime running lamps and parking lamp bulbs. The LED module cannot be replaced. The entire headlamp must be replaced.

Removing


Danger to life due to high voltage.

• Observe usage and safety information for gas discharge headlamps.

- With ignition switched off, disconnect battery ground (ND) wire, refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.

Left Headlamp, with 8-Cylinder Engine

- Remove reservoir for power steering.

Left Headlamp, with 12-Cylinder Engine

- Remove air filter housing.

Right Headlamp, with 8-Cylinder Engine

- Remove upper section of air filter housing.

Right Headlamp, with 12-Cylinder Engine

- Remove air filter housing.

All Vehicles





- Disengage retaining tabs - arrows - and remove high beam housing cover from headlamp housing.

- Remove parking lamp socket - arrow - from housing.





- Pull bulb for parking lamp out of socket.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Insert new bulb into socket, do not touch glass cone with bare hands when doing so.

- Push socket into reflector until it engages noticeably.

- Close the housing lid.

- Connect battery. Required actions, refer to => [ To connect, connect terminal clamp of ground (GND) wire by hand to battery negative terminal and tighten nut. ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.
