Secondary Air Injection Combination Valves, Checking for Function and Leaks

Test Sequence

- Disconnect pressure hose - 1 - at combination valve for secondary air injection.





Ignore - arrows -.

Connect an appropriate assisting hose to the combination valve.

- Blow into the assisting hose using light pressure (do not use pressurized air).

Combination valve must be closed, it must not be possible to blow through.

- Blow into the assisting hose using higher pressure (do not use pressurized air).

The combination valve must open, it must be possible to blow through.

If the switching point is not recognized:

- Replace combination valve: Left => [ Left Combination Valve for Secondary Air Injection ] Left Combination Valve for Secondary Air Injection, right => [ Right Combination Valve for Secondary Air Injection ] Right Combination Valve for Secondary Air Injection.
