Digital Sound System Control Module, from MY 2006

CAUTION!
• This section refers to components of the communication systems available in Europe and not all apply to communication systems used in USA and Canada.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Fiber Optic Plier Repair Set (VAS 6223)

• Protective Cap For Cable Connector (VAS 6223/9)

- If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine.

Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) to do so.

CAUTION!
• Switch off all electrical components.

• Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

Removing

- Open left luggage compartment storage bin.

- Disconnect electrical connectors - 1 - on Digital Sound System Control Module (J525) - 4 -.





- Fit the Protective Cap For Cable Connector (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - on to the MOST-Bus connector - 2 -.





- Remove bolts - 2 - and - 3 - (3 Nm) at Digital Sound System Control Module (J525) - 4 -.





- Remove Digital Sound System Control Module (J525) - 4 -.

Installing

- Install in reverse order.
