CAUTION!

CAUTION!
On vehicles equipped with Audi Telematics by OnStar, switch-off emergency (back-up) battery for Telematic/Telephone Control Module prior to disconnecting vehicle battery. Switch-on emergency (back-up) battery after reconnecting vehicle battery

Removing

The battery must be disconnected when the ignition is switched on.

- Switch on ignition.

- Disconnect the battery ground strap.

- Remove lower B-pillar trim => [ Lower B-Pillar Trim ] Trim.

- Loosen belt reel. It is not necessary to remove the seatbelt completely => [ Three-Point Seat Belt ] Three-Point Seat Belt.

- Remove nuts - 2 - (Qty. 2).





- Disengage tab on yellow connector - 1 - and disconnect connector.

Installing

- Place crash sensor - 1 - on to threaded pins.





- Secure crash sensor - 1 - with nuts - 2 - (Qty. 2).

Tightening torque: 9 Nm.

CAUTION!
No one should be in vehicle when connecting battery.

- Connect battery ground strap.

Follow the safety precautions after connecting the battery.

If Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) (K75) signals a malfunction after installation, DTC memory must be checked, erased and once again checked using Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051 A).
