Wheels/tires, assembly overview

Removing and installing metal valve body
- Push metal valve with rubber seal from the inside through the rim.
- Attach chamfered washer and union nut from the outside and tighten by hand.
- Secure against twisting with counterhold -1- (poss. drill 2 mm diameter).
Tightening torque 4 Nm
- Press wheel electronics -1- into the drop center rim and bolt on at the rear at the valve with micro-encapsulated screw.
Tightening torque 4 Nm
Tire change
The nickel-plated valve insert must be replaced every time the tire is changed.
The metal valve and the wheel electronics can be reused.
- Release the air from the tire by unscrewing the nickel-plated valve insert.
- Remove tires
Visual inspection for loose or damaged parts. Replace entire valve complex when bolted connections are detached.
Always replace damaged wheel electronics.
- Mount tires.
- Screw in new nickel-plated valve insert.
- Fill tire, screw on plastic cap again.
- Balance tires.

Roll or press off tires
When using removing blades first press off tire on opposite side of valve.
Do not use removing blades in shaded area -a-.
- Position puller knob in vicinity of valve so that the tire lever can be positioned approx. 30 degrees -b- next to the valve.
- Then pull off the tire in the valve area first.

Do not use removing blades in valve area.
- Position wheel electronics approx. 180 degrees opposite puller knob.
- Press tire into the drop center rim approx. 90 degrees in front of puller knob (see arrow).
- Mount tires.
Removing and installing front receiving antennas
The receiving antennas are located behind the wheel housing liners.
- Ignition off.
- Disconnect connector -1-.
- Release clip -2
- Remove antenna -3-.
Removing and installing front receiving antenna with bracket
- Unscrew hex nut -1-: tightening torque 2 Nm
- Remove aerial bracket -2-.
Install in reverse order.
Removing and installing rear receiving antennas
The receiving antennas are located behind the wheel housing liners.
- Detach connector -1-.
- Release clip -2-.
- Remove antenna -3-.
Remove rear receiving antenna bracket
- Unclip antenna
- Remove hex bolts -1-: tightening torque 2 Nm
- Remove antenna bracket -2-
Install in reverse order.
