Vehicle Electrical System Control Module

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051B)

Removing

- If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or "Guided Functions" with the (VAS 5051B).

- Select the function or path:






- Follow the instructions on the Vehicle Diagnosis Tester display.

- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Remove driver's storage compartment.

- Remove heating duct in the footwell on the driver side.

- Remove vehicle electrical system control module (J519) in - direction of arrow - from retaining frame.





- Unplug connectors at on-board power supply control unit.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

If the vehicle electrical system control module was replaced, then is must be re-coded with the (VAS 5051B).

- Select the function or path:






- Follow the instructions on the (VAS 5051B) display.

- Install driver's storage compartment.
