Solenoid valve block, removing and installing

^ VAG 1331 Torque wrench





^ VAG 1783 Torque wrench
^ VAG 1783/1 Spanner attachment (10 mm A/F)

Removing

Note:
The solenoid valve block is installed on the A-pillar on the left behind the wheel housing trim.

- Place vehicle on lifting platform.
- Bleed system.
- Remove wheel trim, detach trim cap for light-alloy wheels (puller in vehicle tool kit).
- Remove wheel.
- Secure brake disc with a wheel bolt.
- Remove wheel housing liner.





- Detach connector -1-.
- Unscrew air lines -arrows-.
- Protect air lines from contamination.
- Unscrew bolts -2- and remove solenoid valve block with bracket.

Installing
Installation is in reverse order. Note:





- Insert solenoid valve block.
- Screw in bolts -2- and tighten.
- Install air lines -arrows- on solenoid valve block and tighten.
- Plug in connector -1-.

Line assignment on solenoid valve block





The air lines are color-coded:

1 - Blue, right rear air spring damper

2 - Black, left rear air spring damper

3 - Green, right front air spring damper

4 - Brown, air supply unit

5 - Red, left front air spring damper

6 - Purple, pressure accumulator
- Perform system filling with VAS 5051.
- Install the wheel housing liner.
- Install and tighten wheel.
