Heated Windshield, Checking Activation

• The Climatronic Control Module (J255) front A/C control head activates the Heated Windshield Control Module (J505) via a data line. The activation is shown in the control head measured value block vehicle diagnosis testing and information system VAS 5051 in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

• If the resistance value calculated by the Climatronic Control Module (J255) front A/C control head and displayed in the measured value block is greater than 2.4 Ohm or less than 1.5 Ohm, check the wiring connection from the Heated Windshield Control Module (J505) to the Heated Windshield (Z2) for short circuit or contact resistance vehicle diagnosis testing and information system VAS 5051 in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

• If the resistance value calculated by the Climatronic Control Module (J255) front A/C control head and displayed in the measured value block is greater than 3.4 Ohm or less than 1.4 Ohm, the control head does not activate the Heated Windshield Control Module (J505) vehicle diagnosis testing and information system VAS 5051 in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
