Exhaust System, Installing

• Align exhaust system when cold.

• Tightening specifications => [ Catalytic Converters and Mufflers, Assembly Overview ] Catalytic Converters and Mufflers, Assembly Overview.

- Loosen bolts on front clamping sleeves => [ (Item 7) Clamping sleeve, front ] Catalytic Converters and Mufflers, Assembly Overview.

- If present, loosed threaded connections on rear clamping sleeves => [ (Item 12) Clamping sleeve, rear ] Catalytic Converters and Mufflers, Assembly Overview.

- Press exhaust system forward - arrow - under following tensions are adjusted on individual retaining loops:





• Retaining loop on main muffler: Dimension - a - = 4 mm.

• Left and right retaining loops on rear muffler: Dimension - a - = 10 mm.





- Hold exhaust system in this position and tighten clamping sleeve bolts evenly.

• A 2nd technician is needed to align the exhaust system with clamping sleeves between center and rear mufflers.

• If all adjustment dimensions are not achieved, remove affected bracket from body and shift accordingly.

- Align end pipes => [ Attach end pipe to rear muffler and align. ] Service and Repair.
