Components For Control and Regulation of the A/C System In Passenger Compartment
Components For Control And Regulation Of The A/C System In Passenger Compartment
NOTE:
- If there is a malfunction in the system, first check DTC memory of front A/C control head Climatronic Control Module J255 (and of Rear A/C Control Head (Climatronic) E265). Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 in "Guided Fault Finding" function.
- If no malfunction is indicated, read out measuring value block of front A/C control head Climatronic Control Module J255 and actuate any faulty component via the "output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM)" function. Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 in "Guided Fault Finding" function.
- Servicing operations on A/C system that are possible without opening refrigerant circuit
- Servicing operations on A/C system that require the refrigerant circuit to be opened
- Electrical testing of the various control motors, potentiometers and sensors is described in Guided Fault Finding. Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 in "Guided Fault Finding" function.
- After completion of repair perform the following:
- Check DTC memory of front A/C control head Climatronic Control Module J255 (and of Rear A/C Control Head (Climatronic) E265) and erase any DTCs displayed Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS5051 in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
- Check coding of front A/C control head Climatronic Control Module J255 Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 in "Guided Fault Finding" function.
- If necessary, check adaptation of front A/C control head Climatronic Control Module J255 and of Rear A/C Control Head (Climatronic) E265 (not installed in all vehicles, optional equipment) Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS5051 in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
- Perform basic setting of A/C system via front A/C control head Climatronic Control Module J255 and Rear A/C Control Head (Climatronic) E265 (not installed on all vehicles, optional equipment). Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 in "Guided Fault Finding" function.
To improve illustration, the arrangement of A/C system components in the passenger compartment has been divided into three illustrations.
- Arrangement of components on left side
- Arrangement of components on right side
- Arrangement of components at rear
