Right Front Upper Body Outlet Temperature Sensor (G386)
• Installed only in vehicles with Comfort version A/C system
Removing
- Remove instrument panel..
- Remove retaining plate with control motors (V158) and (V109) => [ Retaining Plate With Control Motors (V158) ((V159)) and (V109) ((V108)) ] Retaining Plate With Control Motors (V158) ((V159)) and (V109) ((V108)).
- Remove retaining plate with control motors (V111) and (V300) => [ Retaining Plate With Control Motors (V111) and (V300) ] Retaining Plate With Control Motors (V111) and (V300).
- Disconnect connector - B - from Right Front Upper Body Outlet Temperature Sensor - A -.
- Rotate Right Front Upper Body Outlet Temperature Sensor - A - approximately 90° in direction of arrow.
- Remove Right Front Upper Body Outlet Temperature Sensor - A - from heating & A/C unit.
Installing
- Check O-ring seal - D - for damage and proper fitting.
- Insert Right Front Upper Body Outlet Temperature Sensor - A - on proper side into heating & A/C unit mount - E -.
• An O-ring seal - D - is installed so that Right Front Upper Body Outlet Temperature Sensor fits without play in mount - E -.
- Connect connector - B - to Right Front Upper Body Outlet Temperature Sensor - A - and check routing of wire - E -.
- Install retaining plate with control motors (V111) and (V300). Refer to => [ Retaining Plate With Control Motors (V111) and (V300) ] Retaining Plate With Control Motors (V111) and (V300).
- Install retaining plate with control motors (V158) and (V109). Refer to => [ Retaining Plate With Control Motors (V158) ((V159)) and (V109) ((V108)) ] Retaining Plate With Control Motors (V158) ((V159)) and (V109) ((V108)).
- Install the remaining removed components again in reverse order.
- Check the DTC memory for the Climatronic control module (J255) and erase any faults displayed if necessary using the Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051 in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
- If necessary, perform a basic setting and output diagnostic test mode on the A/C system using the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information system VAS 5051 in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
