Cornering Lamp and Headlamp Range Control Module (J745)

• Adjust the headlamps after performing any work that could have affected their adjustment, refer to => [ Headlamps, Adjusting ] Headlamps, Adjusting.

Danger to life due to high voltage.

Removing






- Remove headlamp, refer to => [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.

- Turn housing cover - 1 - counterclockwise - arrow - and remove from headlamp housing.

- Turn socket counter-clockwise - arrow - and remove from headlamp housing.






- Release locking slide - 2 - in - direction of arrow - and remove housing cover - 1 - from headlamp housing.






- Remove screws - arrows - and remove high-intensity gas discharge lamp control module - 1 - from headlamp housing.






- Release both retaining springs - arrows - and slide connector - 1 - into headlamp housing.






- Free up electrical wiring - 3 - wiring guide - 2 -.

- Remove screws - arrows - and remove cover plate - 1 -.






- Detach control unit from headlamp housing.

- Disconnect electrical connectors - 1, 2, 3 -.






- Slide a small screwdriver - 1 - between securing tab - 2 - and connector housing.






- Remove the control module.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Check seal between power control module and headlamp housing.

- Install gas discharge headlamp control module, refer to => [ HID Headlamp Control Module (J343)/ ] HID Headlamp Control Module (J343)/(J344).

- Install daytime running lamp/turn signal lamp socket, refer to => [ Daytime Running Lamp Bulb and Turn Signal Lamp Bulb, Changing ] Daytime Running Lamp Bulb and Turn Signal Lamp Bulb, Changing.

- Install headlamp, refer to => [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.

- Adjust headlamps after installing, refer to => [ Headlamps, Adjusting ] Headlamps, Adjusting.

Tightening Specifications
