Vehicle Information

01 MIL on and EPC light on (DTC P0016 in ECM)





Condition

The customer may report:

- EPC light on and slightly reduced engine torque because vehicle is in E-Gas Safety Mode.

Only in combination with:

- MIL on and the following DTC in ECM data memory: DTC P0016 (Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position - Correlation Bank 1 Sensor A)

The customer might also report:

- Excessive clacking or rattling noise from engine area - strongest in idle.

Technical Background

The condition might be caused by the correlation between the crankshaft and the camshafts being out of tolerance.

Not applicable.

Service

For the condition described in this bulletin, it is necessary to create a TACS ticket and to contact the Technical Assistance Center for further instructions.
