Service
Figure 3:
1. Replace sunroof frame and the continuous seal on the sunroof.
a. Clean the gluing areas with alcohol. They must be free of any residues prior to the installation of the seals.
b. Apply additional sealant between the sunroof frame and the body on all four corners of the sunroof frame (Figure 3, Point A).
c. Center sealing strip (Part No. 8PO 857 999) and glue on the front edge (720 mm) (Figure 3, Point B).
d. Center both strips (2 x re./2x le., Part No. 8PO 857 999, 720 mm) with a distance to the edge of 50 mm and glue strips on the preexisting cut line (Figure 3, Point C).
e. Center glue sealing strip (8PO 857 999) on the edge of the panorama roof outline. Glue sealing strip on the back edge (680 mm) (Figure 3, Point D).
2. Check sunroof drain hoses for kinks, routing or foreign substance in the hose. Replace the sunroof drain hose if it is kinked or pinched. Clean the sunroof drain hose if it is clogged.
NOTE: The water can wet the metal part of the front head airbag and cause corrosion. Wipe the affected metal part with a cloth lightly dipped in oil to apply an oil film.
