AFFECTED VEHICLES
CONDITION
Customer complaint includes one of the following:
^ No Start
^ EPC light on
^ Battery will not charge
^ DTC P0088 - Rail Fuel Pressure too high sporadic
In many cases the customer complaints cannot be duplicated.
TECHNICAL BACKGROUND
Loose battery connections can cause intermittent vehicle issues.
PRODUCTION SOLUTION
Not Applicable.
SERVICE
1. Inspect and Tighten B+ jump post connections if necessary.
2. Inspect and tighten Terminal 30 connection in plenum box if necessary. Be sure to inspect both top and bottom nut on the plenum box connection.
3. If damage has occurred to the jumper point due to high electrical resistance, replace jumper point.
