Power Window Control Head in Driver Door (E512)

Removing






- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Remove front door trim..

Vehicles With 2-Zone Climate Control:

- Detach insulating mat from door trim.

- Disengage air channel - 1 - on door trim - arrows -.

Vehicles With 4-Zone Climate Control:






- Remove insulation mat - 3 - from door trim.

All Vehicles

- Disconnect electrical connectors - 1 - and - 2 -.

- Remove screws - arrows -.

- Remove armrest - 1 - in - direction of arrow -.






- Remove switch mount from armrest.

- Use small screwdriver to carefully release fasteners - A arrows - on trim side.






- Release catches on armrest side by pressing retaining element in - direction of arrow B -.

- Pull Power window control head in driver door - item 1 - down out of switch mount.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Press Power window control head in driver door into switch mount until catches engage.

- Guide switch mount into armrest.

- Install armrest..

- Install the air guide channel..

- Install front door trim.
