Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Protective Cap For Cable Connector (VAS 6223/9)

The satellite radio is located behind the right luggage compartment side trim panel under the Digital Sound System Control Module (J525).

- If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine.

Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) to do so.

- Switch off all electrical consumers.

- Remove the key.

Removing

- Remove the right luggage compartment trim panel.

The satellite radio - 1 - is only held in place at the rear of the retainer - 3 - by two U-shaped clips.





- Remove the screw - 2 - (2 Nm).

- Remove satellite radio - 1 - from retainer - 3 - in - direction of arrow -.

- Disconnect all harness connectors at the satellite radio.

- Attach the (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - onto the MOST-Bus connector - 2 -.





Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.
