Backrest, Right or Left

Removing






- Remove cover and padding from backrest. Refer to => [ Backrest Cover and Padding ] Backrest Cover and Padding.

- Pry control cable - 1 - out of control cable bracket - 2 -.

- Loosen spring clamp - 4 -.

- Remove anchor plate - 3 - and disengage cable secured inside - 1 -.

- Remove screws - 1 -, - 2 - and - 3 -.






- Remove screw - 5 - and remove bearing sleeve - 1 -, control disc - 2 -, bearing disc - 3 - and cable bracket - 4 -.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Install cable bracket - 4 -, bearing disc - 3 -, control disc - 2 - and bearing sleeve - 1 - according to illustration.






- Replace the following screws and follow installation sequence (A, B, C and D):

• Item 2 => [ Screw, Self-Locking ] Backrest Overview, Right and Left

• Item 3 => [ Screw, Self-Locking ] Backrest Overview, Right and Left

• Item 7 => [ Screw, Self-Locking ] Backrest Overview, Right and Left

• Item 8 => [ Screw, Self-Locking ] Backrest Overview, Right and Left

• When tightening screws, ensure backrest are always aligned.

- Adjust cable on backrest. Refer to => [ Backrest Release Cable, Adjusting ] Backrest Release Cable, Adjusting.

- After re-installing backrest, perform function test.
