Head Restraint Control Cam

Removing

- Remove the backrest upholstery just enough so that the control cam is accessible. Refer to => [ Backrest Cover and Upholstery ] Backrest Cover and Upholstery.

- Remove the cover - 1 - from the cable - 3 - - arrow A -.






- Disengage the heat restraint cable => [ Headrest ] Headrest.

- Using a screwdriver, press the clip - 2 - toward the outside and at the same time from the mounting pin => [ (Item 7) Mounting pins ] Headrest Assembly Overview - arrow B -.

- Remove the spring - 4 - and the control cam - 7 - from the mounting pin - 8 - downward - arrow D -.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Make sure the spring is attached to the control cam in area - E -.

- Slide the unit from the spring and control cam on the mounting pins and make sure the spring is engaged in the bracket - 6 - and rests on the control cable bracket - 5 - in area - C -.

- Mount the cover so that the mounting point - F - latches on the cable - 3 - and the lower edge of the cover - G - on the backrest frame in area - H -.
