1 - Lateral control arm for steering column

2 - Self-locking nut
^ 20 Nm
^ Follow tightening sequence
^ Always replace after removal

3 - Bolt

4 - Steering column
^ Can only be replaced as a unit

5 - Bolt
^ 20 Nm
^ Follow tightening sequence

6 - Handle

7 - Bolt
^ 4.5 Nm

8 - Power assist steering gear

9 - Bolt
^ 35 Nm plus an additional 1/4 turn (90°)
^ Always replace after removal

10 - Protective boot

11 - Nut
^ 4 Nm
^ Self-locking
^ Always replace after removal





Tightening sequence
- Tighten bolts - 1 - to - 4 - to specified torque in sequence shown.
- Then tighten nut - 5 - to specified torque.
