Right Rear Air Door Motor (V240)

With the Right Rear Air Door Position Sensor (G390)

Removing

- Switch off ignition.

- Remove left side wall trim in luggage compartment..

- Remove bolts - A -.






- Disconnect electrical connection from Right Rear Air Door Motor - B - and remove control motor - C -.

Installing

- Check position of control motor shaft - F -, it must be located approximately in the position depicted (at stop - G -).

- Insert control motor on to shaft - E - of door - D -.

Control motor must be inserted only in the position possible without using force. If control motor can only be slid on with initial force, check shaft of door - E -, it may be twisted (door - D - is not in the position closed depicted).

If motor shaft - F - is not in the position depicted (it can only be connected on to shaft in this position), connect terminals 5 and 6 of control motor via a 5A fuse to a 12 V battery for example, using adapter lead, refer to=> [ Preparing Adapter Cables for Control Motor Actuation ] Preparing Adapter Cables For Control Motor Actuation (or an adapter lead from connector test kit (V.A.G 1594/C) ). Rotate control motor for as long until the shaft is located in the position depicted (control motor can be connected without initial force), the turning direction can be reversed by swapping Plus and Minus.

- Install the removed components again in reverse order.

- Check DTC memory of Climatronic Control Module (J255) (and of Rear A/C Display Control Head (E265) ) and erase any DTCs displayed using Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS5051 in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

- If necessary, perform a basic setting and output diagnostic test mode on the A/C system using Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS5051 in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
