Battery Jump Start Terminal (U6)

Removing






- With ignition switched off, disconnect battery Ground (ND) wire. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.

- On TDI engines, remove the fuel filter and move it to the side with the lines still connected.

- Remove bolt - 1 -.

- Release the clip - 4 - and open the cover - 5 - - arrow -,

- Remove the nuts - 2 - and - 3 - and disconnect the wires.

- Open the clips - arrows - and remove the metal plate - 3 - and the screw - 4 -.






- Open the clip - 1 - and remove the Battery jump start terminal - 2 -.

- Open the tabs underneath - arrows - and remove the battery jump start terminal - 2 - from the wire - 1 -.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Connect battery. Refer to => [ Connecting ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.
