Vehicle Electrical System Control Module 2 (J520)

- If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or "Guided Functions" of the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing & Information System (VAS5051B).

Removing






- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Remove front passenger's seat.

- Open drawer - 1 - under passenger's seat console.

- Release retaining clamps on back side of cover - 2 - in - direction of arrow A -.

- Then remove cover in - direction of arrow B - from passenger's seat console.

- Remove bolt - 4 -.






- Disconnect electrical connectors - 1 - and - 2 -.

- Remove mount - 3 - with control modules up out of brackets.

- Release securing clips - arrows - and remove control module - 3 - as far as stop. If necessary, release securing clips again and remove control module from mount.






- Press retaining clip - 2 - to side and remove vehicle electrical system control module 2 - item 1 - from mount.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- The new vehicle electrical system control module 2 must be coded in "Guided Fault Finding" or in "Guided Functions" using the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing & Information System (VAS5051B).

- Install passenger seat.
