Condition
When the navigation system is switched on, the instrument cluster center display may show the adaptive cruise control braking guard distance warning symbol instead of the navigation menu.
Technical Background
Instrument cluster software compatibility issue between the navigation system and adaptive cruise control (ACC).
Production Solution
New software in the instrument cluster (J285) addressed the condition.
Service
1. Follow all instructions in the attached TSB 2011732 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
2. Update the instrument cluster (J285) using the SVM action code as listed in the table below if necessary.
3. If flash process stops partway or does not finish, repeat SVM flash. If flash cannot be completed, please call the Audi Technical Assistance Center (TAC).
4. Check the date and time. The flash process may change the date and time in the instrument cluster. If necessary, reset the date and time.
