Condition
Air conditioning does not work.
Technical Background
The refrigerant pipe is corroded through in the area of the front left wheel arch clips. Corrosion occurs between the clip and the aluminum pipe.
Production Solution
Optimized refrigerant pipes with shrink-fit hose were introduced into production.
Service
1. Check the refrigerant pipe for corrosion marks under the clips in the area of the front left wheel arch.
2. If there are corrosion marks, replace the refrigerant pipe.
3. After fitting and refilling the system, check the cooling performance according to the Guided Fault Finding.
