Interior - Creak/Crack From The Net Partition

Condition
Creaking and cracking noises come from the net partition when driving on poor roads or at load change.
Technical Background
Free play in the mechanism.
Free play between net partition and bracket.
Production Solution
Improved net partition mechanism.
Teflon coated net partition bracket.
Service
1. Test drive the vehicle. Make certain all of the customer's personal belongings have been removed from the vehicle so that they could not be causing additional noise.

2. If the noise comes from the net partition itself and the parts version is 18S or lower, replace the net partition with parts version 19S or higher. The parts version is written on the white sticker on the net partition.
Tip: The Parts Department only supplies parts with version 19S or higher.
3. If noise is still present and VIN number is before 4F 7N085124, continue to step 4 to replace the left and right net partition bracket with the improved version 4F9 863 583B and 4F9 863 584B.

4. Unscrew the end caps.

5. Thinly apply special lubricant G 060 172 A3 with a small brush on the rotary latch (Figure 3, Point 1), the ejector (Figure 3, Point 2) and the leaf spring (Figure 3, Point 3).
6. Test drive and recheck for any noise.
