Vehicle Information
Condition
Vehicle must meet ALL of the following criteria.
1. Procedure is valid only for vehicles that show the IO code in the OTIS View Campaign inquiry screen on the day of repair
2. Vehicle must be within the Limited New Vehicle Warranty.
3. Procedure must be performed within the allotted time frame stated in this Technical Service Bulletin.
Procedure must also be performed on applicable vehicles in Dealer inventory.
This Required Vehicle Update (RVU) has been proactively released to prevent the following condition from occurring in the vehicle.
This Technical Bulletin is in effect for 15 months from date of publication as listed above. After that date, this Technical Service Bulletin will expire and no longer be in effect.
Second row seat folding/easy entry function does not operate properly

Production Solution
Improved side trim covers.
Service
Replace the second row seat side cover
^ Unclip the side cover near the seat grip by forcing the cover
downwards
^ Remove the cover by pulling up on the edge over the outer seat bolster and slightly rotate the cover toward the rear of the car.
^ Install the new plastic retainer clip prior to mounting the side covers
^ Pull the inner corner of the cover over the outer seat bolster, and rotate the cover forward and into place
^ The cover's inner corner must be on the inside of the screw support.
^ Make sure the following points are correctly mounted:
1. Clip side of the cover into place by pressing downward.
2. Clip rear of the cover with light pressure
3. Ensure the newly installed plastic clip is inserted and mounted in the correct hole with light pressure.
^ It is extremely important to visually inspect from the rear of the seat and test seat back functionality to ensure the mentioned mounting points are correctly installed.

To ensure prompt and proper payment, be sure to enter, immediately upon completion of the repair work, the applicable reimbursement code listed below. Claims will only be paid for vehicles that show the IO code in the ElsaWeb/OTIS View Campaign inquiry screen on the day of repair.

For vehicles that, according to your information, cannot be corrected or reached, and one of the codes below best describe the reason, please enter one of the applicable codes into the system:

^ IO 30 Total Loss

Required Customer Notification
Inform your customer in writing by recording on the Repair Order any and all work that was conducted on the vehicle, including any and all updates completed under this Technical Service Bulletin.

^ Destroy and properly dispose of removed parts in accordance with local, state and federal/provincial environmental regulations.
