Supercedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 72 number 06-01 dated June 19, 2006 due to addition of Sage warranty data.
Vehicle Affected
RVU - Front Electric Seat Repair (IN)
Condition
Vehicle must meet ALL of the following criteria.
1. Procedure is valid only for vehicles that show the IN code in the OTIS View Campaign inquiry screen on the day of repair.
2. Vehicle must be within the Limited New Vehicle Warranty.
3. Procedure must be performed within the allotted time frame stated in this Technical Service Bulletin.
Procedure must also be performed on applicable vehicles in Dealer inventory.
This Required Vehicle Update (RVU) has been proactively released to prevent the following condition from occurring in the vehicle.
This Technical Bulletin is in effect for 15 months from date of publication as listed above. After that date, this Technical Service Bulletin will expire and no longer be in effect.
Electrical drivers seat with memory is not operable.

Service
Remove and Replace Seat Control Switch Module
^ Move seat fully forward and upward to the seat stops to service the switch
^ Remove the cover by first prying the buttons away from the seat
^ Remove the seatbelt covering as shown
^ Remove screw - Torx Tx 30 3.5 NM
^ Remove Cover at shown points; removal direction shown
^ Remove front seat cover by pressing the clips toward the back of the vehicle and lightly pull on the cover. Shown in detailed photo.
- Use a short or bent screwdriver to release the clips
- Release the clips in the order shown in the photo.
^ Remove the side cover
^ Note: Wiring runs through this cover
^ Press wire connector clips together and remove the connector.
^ Remove the cable clip as show in photo.
^ Remove the screws; Torx Tx 25; 0.5 NM
^ Replace the Electric Seat Switch Module
^ Connect and fasten the cable and Module with screws and cable clip.
^ Wiring must be inserted into the wiring guides in the points shown.
^ Install the front cover by pressing the cover in and down.
^ Ensure the clips are secured at the marked points
^ Attach the cover from top to bottom at the marked points by inserting the top into the upper U-channel.
^ Ensure lower clips shown in this photo are properly fastened after the following step.
^ Cover must be inserted under the Seatbelt exit cover.
^ Attach Cover in the rear area by pulling cover lightly away from the seat and pressing from the bottom to the top.
^ Fasten cover with proper screws.
^ Mount Seatbelt cover; insert the rear section first and fasten the clip. (shown in second picture above)
^ Install Switch Buttons
^ Check seat functionality
